Before you start:

✔ Remove your existing letterplate
✔ Ensure the aperture is clear
✔ Have a screwdriver and drill with a 3mm drill bit ready

Step 1: Find and mark the centre

  • Start on the outside of the door
  • Use a measuring tool to find the centre of the existing aperture (hole)
  • Align your ruler evenly across both sides
  • Mark the centre point at the top and bottom

Step 2: Drill and position the letterplate

  • Drill a pilot hole (3 mm drill bit) at the top centre mark
  • Place the external letterplate over the aperture

Step 3: Adjust and mark fixing points

  • Loosely secure it using the top pilot hole
  • (Optional) Use the flap holder tool to keep the flap open while working

Step 4: Adjust and mark fixing points

  • Adjust the universal sliders (width and length) so it fits neatly around the aperture
  • Once aligned, mark the remaining screw hole positions

Step 5: Drill remaining holes and repeat inside

  • Remove the letterplate
  • Drill pilot holes for the remaining fixings
  • Repeat the same process on the inside of the door for the internal plate

Step 6: Prepare and fit the side liners

  • Take one liner and hold it against the aperture to check the correct size
  • Trim it using the pre-marked sections to match the required height or width
  • Insert the liner into the aperture, ensuring it sits flush and does not protrude

Step 7: Repeat

  • Repeat for the opposite side and the top and bottom liners (measuring the width before trimming if needed)
  • If required, trim the liners to match the depth of the door Once all four liners are in place, ensure they are secure (they do not need to be perfectly aligned)
  • Lightly secure with tape or adhesive (optional)

Step 8: Drill remaining holes and repeat inside

  • Apply the foam sticker strips to the internal edges of both the external and internal plates
  • Adjust the sliders to ensure it frames the apeture correctly then tighten the remaining screws
