How to Install
Step 1: Position the Locking Chain
Hold the chain mechanism on the door frame, ensuring it aligns with the height that’s convenient for you. The chain plate should be placed on the door itself. Make sure both parts align properly when the door is closed.

Step 2: Mark the Screw Holes
Using a pencil, mark where the screws will go on both the door and the frame. Ensure the chain will be able to move freely once installed.

Step 3: Pre-drill Holes (if necessary)
If you're working with a hard door material (like UPVC or metal), pre-drill small holes where you’ve marked the screw placements. This will make it easier to screw in the fittings.

Step 4: Install the Chain Mechanism
Using the screws provided, attach the chain lock to the door frame. Make sure it's firmly secured but don't overtighten the screws. Attach the chain plate to the door with the remaining screws.

Step 5: Test the Locking Chain
Close the door and test the chain to ensure it slides and locks easily. Use the key to lock and unlock the chain, checking that everything operates smoothly.

Step 6: Secure and CheckOnce fitted, ensure all screws are tightened and the chain lock is functioning properly. Make sure the door opens slightly while remaining secure.

Well done! You’ve successfully fitted your key locking door chain. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out for further assistance."

Brilliant security

Offers normal door chain protection but allows key holders access if the person has a fall or unable to get to the door themselves.Terrific idea.
