How to Install

1. Remove Old Cylinder: Insert your key into the existing cylinder and turn slightly. Unscrew the fixing screw located on the door’s edge near the cylinder. Pull the key and cylinder out together.

 

2. Measure New Cylinder: Ensure the new Euro Cylinder is the same size. Measure from the center of the screw hole to each end of the cylinder.

 

3. Insert New Cylinder: Align the new cylinder with the lock slot. Gently insert it with the key slightly turned. Ensure it’s flush with the door surface.

 

4. Secure the Cylinder: Replace the fixing screw and tighten it. This holds the cylinder in place.

 

5. Test the Lock: Turn the key in both directions to ensure smooth locking and unlocking. The key should be able to be removed in both locked and unlocked positions.

 

Tip: Do not force the key. If it doesn’t turn easily, check alignment.

You need a very small Allen key to remove thumb lock to fit through some door plates

this Lock seems excellent value for money. However, I had to figure out what may be obvious for some in that you need an Allen key to remove the thumb key if it does not fit through your door plate. Make sure you have an Allen key!

This thumb turn keylock works perfect. This lock is a really nice design and would look good in any style euro lock door. This thumb turn keylock takes less than 2 minutes to install requiring only a screwdriver to remove the locking screw in the side of the door. Supplied with 5 keys and a code card to order more if required. This is a very secure lock and features the added security of anti bump key lock in the keys design. Super easy thumb turn locking system and also very smooth key entry I would highly recommend this lock and it's excellent value for money too. Thankyou so much it's a great fit.

These types of locks are convenient for older people who often misplace the key and for emergency exits. The most important thing is to measure the correct size. You can check online how to estimate the size of your lock. The installation was pretty straightforward by unscrewing one central screw; if you are not sure which screw, there are videos online as well. Upon opening this, I was impressed with the build quality, design, and finishing—pretty decent. Another important thing is that it has a 3-star rating marked at the front of the lock, which is ideal for your main door as it offers the highest level of security. It comes with five keys- a bonus—perfect for my family of five.
