How to Install
How to Fit Your Mortice Door Knobs
(with an existing latch)
What you’ll need:
Screwdriver
Drill (for small pilot holes)
Tape measure & pencil
What’s included:
2 x Mortice door knobs
1 x Spindle (square bar)
Fixing screws
Step 1: Remove old knobs
Unscrew and take off your old knobs and spindle. Fill and cover any previous/existing screw holes on the door.
Step 2: Insert spindle
Slide the spindle through the latch hole so it sticks out evenly on both sides.
Step 3: Fit first knob
Place the first knob over the spindle. Mark the screw holes, drill small pilots, then screw the rose plate to the door.
Step 4: Fit second knob
Repeat on the other side: place the knob, mark, drill, and screw into place.
Step 5: Secure & test
Tighten any small side screws (if fitted). Turn the knobs to check the latch works smoothly.
That’s it! Your new knobs are fitted. A quick upgrade that adds style to your home without the fuss.
