How to Install
Remove Old Hinges: Open your door and support it to prevent falling. Unscrew and gently remove the old hinges from both the door and the frame.
Prepare for New Hinges: Clean the areas where the old hinges were attached. If using the same screw holes, ensure they are not stripped or damaged.
Align New T-Hinges: Place your new XFORT T-hinge against the door and frame. If existing holes don’t align, mark new screw positions with a pencil.
Drill Pilot Holes: For new screw positions, drill small pilot holes in the marked spots. This makes screwing easier and prevents wood splitting.
Attach Hinges to the Door: Hold the hinge in place and fasten it with screws on the door side first. Don’t fully tighten yet.
Attach Hinges to the Frame: Align the door with the frame. Screw the other side of the hinge into the frame. Now fully tighten all screws.
Test Your Door: Open and close the door a few times to ensure smooth operation. Adjust if needed for a perfect fit.
Congratulations, you’ve successfully installed your new T-hinges! Enjoy the smooth operation and new look of your door.
Tip: Always double-check measurements and levels for perfect alignment.
