How to Install

1. Remove Existing Handle:

a. Remove any existing handle.
b. Position the new handle over existing fixing holes to reuse or conceal them.

 

2. Adjust Spur Wedge:

a. If there is a gap between the frame and the underside of the spur, choose an appropriate spur wedge from those supplied.
b. Secure the spur wedge under the spur using the screws provided.

 

3. Secure Handle to Window:

a. Use appropriate screws for your window profile to secure the handle to the window.
b. If using existing holes, secure the handle using screws suitable for the window material.
c. If making new holes and using self-drilling screws for a PVCu or aluminium window, use the handle as a jig and screw the backplate directly onto the window.
d. For other materials, you may need to drill pilot holes. Mark fixing positions through the handle backplate, set the handle aside, drill suitable pilot holes, then reposition and screw fix the handle.

 

4. Fit Screw Cover Caps:

a. Once the handle is fitted, fit any screw cover caps provided.

 

5. Test Operation:

a. Test the handle's operation.
b. If necessary, fit a suitably sized striker plate wedge to the frame to remove any space and ensure a tight closure.

A great lock for windows

This locking window handle comes with almost everything that you'd need to install it. Installation is easy and in fact I was able to replace my old handle which broke without any new drillings. It allows reasonably good screw sizes, not just the ones that come in the pack. It is of reasonable good quality and looks good after the installation. The price is not that steep as compared to the comparable brands in other high street shops. The locking mechanism is good and the handle itself is great when opening or closing the window, even without using the lock. Overall a great product.

Perfect fit

I had to replace the window lever and this one was a perfect fit for me. I was glad that I got the exact same colour as my previous windows lever and the fitting was quick and easy as well. It came with all the required accessories and after installation, it did appear to be sturdy enough. The lock functionality appears to be fine as expected.

Good quality - Easy to install

So far, I am happy to own it. The built quality is good. Basic design but looks beautiful. It was simple to install within few minutes as a DIY job. It came with the screws and a key.Arrived well-packaged as shown in the attached photos. The price is reasonable in my opinion. Will recommend.
