Before you start:
✔ Remove your existing letterplate
✔ Ensure the aperture is clear
✔ Have a screwdriver and drill with a 3mm drill bit ready
STEP 1: Measure & Mark the Door
1 Use the measuring tool on the outside of the door to locate the centre of the aperture.
2 Ensure the letter markings align evenly with each side of the aperture for symmetry.
3 Mark the centre point at the top and bottom of the aperture.
4 Using a 3mm drill bit, drill a pilot hole at the top centre mark.
5 Loosely screw the external letterplate into the top pilot hole using a screwdriver. (At this point you can clip the flap holder tool into the plate for ease and convenience during installation)
6 Adjust the universal sliders widthways and lengthways until the letterplate frames the aperture correctly.
7 Mark the remaining screw hole positions.
8 Remove the plate and drill pilot holes for the remaining fixings.
9 Repeat this process on the inside of the door for the internal plate.
STEP 2: Install the Aperture Liners
Side Liners
1 Hold a side liner against the side of the aperture.
2 Identify the correct height measurement and trim to match the aperture height.
3 Insert into the aperture.
4 Trim along the closest scored line so the liner fits snugly without protruding.
5 Repeat for the opposite side.
6 Secure lightly with tape if required.
Top & Bottom Liners
1 Measure the length of the aperture using the long liner.
2 Trim excess using the pre-marked sections as guidance.
3 Insert into position.
4 Trim any excess depth to match your door thickness.
Once trimmed, insert all four liners securely into place.
They do not need to be perfectly aligned.
Secure using tape or adhesive if required.
STEP 3: Final Letterplate Installation
1 Apply the foam sticker strips along the internal edges of both plates for added durability and weather resistance.
2 Position the external plate using the top centre pilot hole.
3 Adjust the sliders to the desired position.
4 Insert and tighten remaining screws.
5 Repeat on the internal plate.
6 Once both plates are aligned, fully tighten all screws.
Your letterplate is now installed.
Changing the Flap Colour
1 Open the flap slightly.
2 Remove the four retaining screws.
3 Slide out the coloured insert.
4 Flip or replace with your chosen colour insert.
5 Refit and tighten screws.
