Installation Steps
1. Check Existing Hinges:
• Confirm your new hinges are the same size as the hinges currently fitted.
• Matching sizes helps ensure a simpler replacement.
2. Remove One Hinge:
• Open the door slightly.
• Remove the screws from one hinge only.
• Carefully remove the old hinge while the remaining hinges continue to support the door.
3. Position the New Hinge:
• Place the new hinge into the existing recess on the door and frame.
• Check that the hinge sits flush and aligns correctly.
4. Make Minor Adjustments (If Needed):
• If the hinge does not sit flush, carefully remove a small amount of wood using a chisel.
• Test the fit as you go, removing only small amounts at a time.
5. Secure the Hinge:
• Insert the fixing screws provided and tighten until secure.
• If required, drill small pilot holes first to help guide the screws.
6. Repeat for Remaining Hinges:
• Replace the remaining hinges one at a time using the same method.
• This helps keep the door aligned and easier to manage.
7. Test the Door:
• Open and close the door several times.
• Check that the door moves smoothly and closes correctly.
• Tighten screws or make small adjustments if needed.
Final Note: You’ve now successfully installed your new door hinges. Always check the door opens and closes smoothly before regular use.
