How to Install
Fitting Instructions: Latch Door Handle Pack
(Lever on Rose Handles, 65 mm Tubular Latch & 3 Door Hinges)
Disclaimer: These instructions are for replacing existing door hardware on a standard internal wooden door. Ensure the area is clean and free from dust before starting. Always support the door when working on hinges.
What's Included:
• 1 x Pair of lever on rose door handles
• 1 x 65 mm tubular latch
• 3 x Door hinges
• Spindle
• Bolt-through fixing screws (recommended for secure installation)
• Surface-mounted fixing screws
Note: Both fixing options are provided. For a stronger and more durable installation, we recommend using the bolt-through fixings where possible.
What's Required:
Screwdriver
Drill with appropriate drill bits
Pencil
Tape measure or ruler
Chisel (if minor adjustments are needed)
Installation Steps
1. Prepare the Door
• Remove all existing hardware including handles, latch, and hinges.
• Ensure all openings are clean and free from debris before installing new components.
2. Install the Hinges
• Position the new hinges in the existing recesses on the door and frame.
• Replace one hinge at a time to help keep the door aligned.
• Secure each hinge using the screws provided.
• Check the door opens and closes smoothly before continuing.
3. Install the Tubular Latch
• Insert the tubular latch into the hole on the edge of the door.
• Ensure the latch sits flush with the door edge.
Important:
• Make sure the angled side of the latch faces the door frame so it retracts correctly when closing.
• Secure the latch plate using the screws provided.
4. Insert the Spindle
• Feed the spindle through the hole in the door so it passes through the latch.
5. Position & Align the Handles
• Place the lever on rose handles onto the spindle on both sides of the door.
• Hold them in position and ensure they are straight and level.
6. Mark Fixing Points
• Using a pencil, mark the fixing holes through the rose plates.
• Mark bolt-through holes if using bolt-through fixings.
7. Remove & Drill Pilot Holes
• Carefully remove the handles and spindle.
• Drill pilot holes at the marked positions.
• Ensure holes are straight and clean.
8. Reassemble & Secure the Handles
• Reinsert the spindle through the latch.
• Fit both handles back onto the spindle.
• Secure using bolt-through fixings or surface-mounted screws.
• Tighten all screws until secure.
9. Test the Door
• Open and close the door to ensure smooth movement.
• Operate the handles to check the latch retracts and returns correctly.
• Make any small adjustments if needed.
