How to Install
Fitting Instructions: Lock Door Handle Pack

Disclaimer: These instructions are for replacing existing door hardware on a standard internal wooden door. Ensure the area is clean and free from dust before starting. Always support the door when working on hinges.
What's Included:
• 1 x Pair of lever on rose door handles
• 1 x Mortice sashlock
• 3 x Ball bearing door hinges
• 1 x Pair of escutcheons (keyhole covers)
• Spindle
• Bolt-through fixing screws (recommended for secure installation)
• Surface-mounted fixing screws
Note: Both fixing options are provided. For a stronger and more durable installation, we recommend using the bolt-through fixings where possible.
What's Required:
Screwdriver
Drill with appropriate drill bits
Pencil
Tape measure or ruler
Chisel (if minor adjustments are needed)
Installation Steps
1. Prepare the Door
• Remove all existing hardware including handles, lock, hinges, and escutcheons.
• Ensure all openings are clean and free from debris before installing new components.
2. Install the Hinges
• Position the new hinges in the existing recesses on the door and frame.
• Replace one hinge at a time to help keep the door aligned.
• Secure each hinge using the screws provided.
• Check the door opens and closes smoothly before continuing.
3. Install the Mortice Sashlock
• Insert the sashlock into the existing mortice in the edge of the door.
• Ensure it sits flush with the door edge.
Important:
• Make sure the angled side of the latch faces the door frame so it operates correctly.
• Secure the faceplate using the screws provided.
4. Insert the Spindle
• Insert the spindle through the handle follower in the sashlock.
5. Position & Align the Handles
• Place the lever on rose handles onto the spindle on both sides of the door.
• Hold them in position and ensure they are straight and level.
6. Fit the Escutcheons
• Position the escutcheons over the keyhole on both sides of the door.
• Ensure they are aligned neatly with the lock cylinder or keyway.
7. Mark Fixing Points
• Using a pencil, mark the fixing holes for the handles and escutcheons.
• Mark bolt-through holes if using bolt-through fixings.
8. Remove & Drill Pilot Holes
• Carefully remove the handles, escutcheons, and spindle.
• Drill pilot holes at the marked positions.
• Ensure holes are straight and clean.
9. Reassemble & Secure
• Reinsert the spindle through the sashlock.
• Refit the handles and escutcheons.
• Secure using bolt-through fixings or surface-mounted screws.
• Tighten all screws until secure.
10. Test the Door
• Open and close the door to ensure smooth movement.
• Operate the handles to check the latch retracts and returns correctly.
• Insert the key and test the locking function.
• Make any small adjustments if needed.
