How to Install

Fitting Instructions for Thumbprint Door Handle

Disclaimer: Do not remove the plastic from the handle until after installation.

Tools Required:
Screwdriver
38mm drill bit
Ruler or tape measure
Pencil or pen

Installation Steps:
1. Measure the Tubular Latch:
Place your tubular latch against the edge of the door.
Using a pencil or pen, mark the position of the spindle hole on the door edge.

2. Measure the Bore Hole:
From the central mark you made for the spindle hole, measure a 38mm diameter circle for the bore hole on the door face.
Ensure the center of the hole aligns with the tubular latch mark.

3. Drill the Bore Hole:
Using a 38mm drill bit, carefully drill the bore hole through the door at the marked location. Ensure the hole is clean and smooth.

4. Attach Screw Tubes to the External Handle:
Take the external handle (the side that includes the thumbprint scanner) and attach the M5 x 38mm screw tubes to it.

5. Affix the External Handle to the Door:
Insert the external handle into the bore hole you drilled. Ensure that the connection screws pass through the tubular latch mechanism for proper alignment.

6. Attach the Internal Handle:
Align the internal handle on the other side of the door, making sure it fits with the spindle and screw holes of the external handle.

7. Insert Screws into the Internal Handle:
Using a screwdriver, insert the provided screws into the internal handle, securing both the internal and external handles to the door.

8. Test the Handle:
Test the thumbprint door handle by opening and closing the door, ensuring the latch engages properly.
If necessary, make any adjustments to ensure smooth operation.

Final Note:
Once the handle has been successfully installed and tested, you may remove the protective plastic from the handle. If any issues arise during installation, consult a professional or refer to the product’s manual for further assistance.

By following these steps, you’ll have a properly installed thumbprint door handle. Always prioritize safety and ensure the handle operates smoothly before regular use.
