2. Mark the Positions:
a. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the positions where the restrictor ends will be installed.

4. Attach the Cable Ends:
a. Attach one end of the cable restrictor to the window frame using the screws provided.
b. Attach the other end to the sash, ensuring the cable has the desired slack to restrict the window opening to the specified distance.

5. Add Housing:
a. Place the housing onto one end of the cable restrictor for additional security and neatness.

6. Measure Opening:
a. Open the window to ensure that it only opens to the limited extent allowed by the cable restrictor.

a. Mark the position for the other side of the cable restrictor on the sash.

8. Drill Pilot Holes and Attach:
a. Drill pilot holes at the marked points on the sash.

- Review for XFORT 4 Pack Viper Thumbturn Locking Cable Window Restrictor in White, Keyless Durable Window Safety Lock for Child Safety and Window Security || Price: £18.99 (at time of ordering) -Look nice and work great. You do need to drill them in, but at least that means they're really secure (compared to adhesive ones). I wanted them on my front/bedroom windows so I could sleep with them open overnight and not worry about 1. dogs getting out and 2. creepers getting in. These achieve both objectives perfectly, highly recommended.
