How to Install
Remove Old Cylinder: Insert the key into the existing cylinder and turn slightly. Unscrew the fixing screw located on the door’s edge near the cylinder. Remove the key and cylinder together.
Measure New Cylinder: Ensure your new Euro Cylinder Thumbturn Lock is the correct size. Measure from the center of the screw hole to each end of the cylinder.
Insert New Cylinder: Align the new cylinder's key side with the exterior of the door and the thumbturn side with the interior. Gently insert it into the lock slot, with the key slightly turned. Make sure it sits flush with the door.
Secure the Cylinder: Fasten the fixing screw back into place to secure the cylinder in the door.
Test the Lock: Test the key operation from the outside and the thumbturn from the inside to ensure smooth locking and unlocking. The key should come out easily in both locked and unlocked positions.
Tip: If the thumbturn or key is stiff, check for misalignment and adjust as necessary.
