How to Install

3. Install the Tubular Latch:
a. Insert the Latch: Slide the new tubular latch into the hole on the door edge.
b. Secure the Latch: Align the latch faceplate with the door edge and secure it with the provided screws. If necessary, use a chisel to adjust the recess so the faceplate sits flush.
4. Install the Door Knobs:
a. Insert the Spindle: Insert the spindle through the tubular latch, ensuring it passes through the latch mechanism.
b. Attach the Knobs: Align the new door knobs on either side of the door, ensuring the spindle fits into the back of each knob.
c. Secure the Knobs: Attach the knobs to the door with the provided screws, ensuring they are tightened securely and the knobs turn smoothly.
5. Install the Strike Plate:
a. Mark the Strike Plate Position: Close the door and mark the position where the latch bolt meets the door frame.
b. Chisel the Recess: If the existing recess for the strike plate is not suitable, use a chisel to adjust it so the new strike plate sits flush with the frame.
c. Secure the Strike Plate: Align the strike plate with the recess and secure it with the provided screws.
6. Final Checks:
a. Test the Knobs and Latch: Open and close the door to ensure the knobs and latch operate smoothly.
b. Make Adjustments: If necessary, adjust the positioning of the latch or knobs to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
