How to Install

Fitting Instructions: Lever on Rose Door Handles
Disclaimer: These instructions are for replacing existing door handles where a tubular latch is already installed. Ensure the area is clean and free from dust before starting.

What's Included:
1 x Pair of lever on rose handles
Surface Mounted Fixing screws
Bolt-through Fixing Screws (recommended for secure, durable installation)
Spindle
Note: Both surface-mounted screws and bolt-through screws are provided. For better strength and long-term use, we recommend using the bolt-through screws where possible.

What's Required:
1. Screwdriver
2. Drill with appropriate drill bit (for bolt-through holes)
3. Pencil
4. Tape measure or ruler

Installation Steps
1. Check Tubular Latch Position:
Confirm the tubular latch is already fitted in the door.
Check that it operates smoothly before continuing..

2. Insert the Spindle:
Feed the spindle through the hole in the door, passing through the tubular latch.

3. Position & Align the Handles:
Fit the lever on rose handles onto the spindle on both sides of the door.
Hold the handles in place and ensure they are straight and level.

4. Mark Bolt-Through Fixing Points:
Using a pencil, mark the bolt-through fixing holes on the door through the holes in the rose plates.
These marks will guide you where to drill for a secure installation.

5. Remove Handles & Latch:
Carefully remove both handles.
Then remove the tubular latch from the door to prevent damage during drilling.

6. Drill Bolt-Through Holes:
Drill holes at the marked positions, ensuring they are straight and clean to allow bolt-through fixings to pass through.

7. Reinstall the Tubular Latch:
Place the latch back into the door, ensuring it is flush and aligned.

8. Reassemble & Secure the Handles:
Insert the spindle back through the latch.
Fit both handles onto the spindle again.
Secure them firmly using the bolt-through fixings provided, tightening with a screwdriver.

9. Test the Handle Functionality:
Operate the handles to ensure the latch retracts and returns smoothly.
Make any minor adjustments if necessary to ensure smooth operation and correct alignment.

Final Note: You’ve now successfully installed your lever on rose handles. Always double-check the handle movement before regular use.

Maintenance

Before fitting, make sure any paint or varnish on the door is completely dry to get the best, long-lasting result.
To keep your handles looking their best, there’s no need for harsh cleaners or polishes. A soft cloth and warm, soapy water will do the trick.
To help protect the finish, try to avoid knocks and scratches from keys, rings or other jewellery when opening and closing the door.

If you are not a handyman don't attempt to fit.

Who thought it a good idea to place the through screws in the place where the closing mech is fitted. Two through fixings and three screws provided.I have to use through fixings as my doors are thin and screws would not hold and is the reason I had to drill a new hole opposite one of the screw holes and counter sink it to allow the fixture so I wound up with the two fixings at top and bottom.I was not chuffed.

Easy on the eye ...

I have an eight year old modern style property where these lever door handles are fitted throughout. On two doors, (cloakroom and bathroom) these were rusting, with the chrome lifting off and so was pleased this style are still available. ... I would think these are pretty standard handles for what is basically a not very expensive product. ... While they look pretty straight-forward to 'retro' fit, I was unable to remove the old handles and fortunately our decorator was able to sort this for us with perhaps a bit of brute force. ... BTW, on lightweight thin doors as fitted on many modern properties, part of the supplied fittings are not applicable for those doors. ... Instead, you use just the short fixing screws to secure the base plates to either side of the door.

Good looking handles let down by fittings

Bought 2 sets of these. These are good looking handles but the fittings/screws supplied are absolutely hopeless, they are just very soft metal and the screws end up getting threaded. What a stupid mistake to produce good handles but supply with rubbish screws. It may also problematic to fit these because the latch of the door may get in the way of the fittings that go all the way through the door

Class Handle

These were beautiful handles and my wife liked them so that must be a good sign. I liked the through bolt fixings as this secures the handle more solidly than three small screws into modern economy doors.Only downside of the 8off I purchased was one handle set hadn't been broached deep enough for the spindle and had to be cut, even though the all doors were the same thickness, on the same handle set the grub screw holes had to be re-tapped and the through bolt receptacle's weren't tapped so I couldn't use. them. Must have been a Friday job. Reason for 4 instead of 5 starsOtherwise excellent handles
